Geopolitical outline
There is nowhere to start and it is not the beginning and it is not the end -
where should Bulgaria go to achieve earthly paradise?
From the East, West and South, an external hegemon lurks,
the outline for which “membership” serves her in the Sanitary Cordon.
Dependence and subordination follow her every time,
and the longing for upliftment is with a rod stuck in the wheel.
A twig of Slavic, Orthodox sprout –
she is dragging today and chasing Mihalya into the Western ortachk.
From the Land of Roses, sports and cultural glory,
she is now a marginal in a Euro-Atlantic barrier.
To Europe, she serves as a peripheral part,
and in NATO she is a long-time vassal of the hegemon USA.
To save her national image
it is time to raise a cry again in the East.
There, where her stature is caressed;
there, where the Russian language is the Lingua Franca.
Geopolitical excitement rages –
now in Ukraine, soon in Europe too, it seems to me.
Bulgaria is waiting for a fateful hour,
when its voice will be heard again among its own people.
