The England national team has announced tests with the two-time world champions Uruguay and Japan.
The two friendlies of the current European vice-champions will take place in March and will be part of the preparation of the "Three Lions" for the 2026 World Cup.
The match with the Russians will take place on March 27, and the one with the Asians is scheduled for March 31.
Both matches will be held at "Wembley" Stadium. Both countries are among the participants of the 2026 World Cup.
"We are very pleased that these two matches have been confirmed in the course of our preparation for the World Cup. "We wanted to play against two teams that are in the top 20 in the world rankings, but also to test ourselves against opponents outside Europe," said England manager Thomas Tuchel.
England are in a group with Croatia, Ghana and Panama at the 2026 World Cup.
