Tyler Adams will be absent from the football fields for nearly three months after suffering a knee injury, his manager at Bournemouth - Andoni Iraola announced. He suffered the injury in the opening minutes of the match with Manchester United on Monday, BTA reported.
"Tyler has torn his medial collateral ligament and will certainly be out for a long time", Iraola said, quoted by Reuters.
"We have previous experience with such injuries and usually the treatment lasts two or three months. For us this is a very big blow because Tyler is an important part of our team. "I knew from the moment he got the injury that it wouldn't be easy," added the Spanish coach.
Adams is a US international and it is still unclear whether he will be able to get into football condition for the 2026 World Cup.
