Inter recorded a fourth consecutive match without a win in all competitions, after finishing 1:1 in their visit to Fiorentina. The "Nerazzurri" started the match brilliantly and took the lead after 39 seconds, when Francesco Pio Esposito opened the scoring. Cristian Chivu's team did not take advantage of their strong minutes in the first half and were penalized after the break. The "Violet" equalized in the 77th minute after a goal by Cher Ndour, Sportal.bg reported.

After this result, Inter continues to be at the top, but its lead is starting to decrease. Milan lags behind by six points, and Napoli by seven. Fiorentina are three points clear of the relegation zone.

The match started in the best possible way for the "Nerazzurri". A cross from Barella from the right sent the ball to the head of Esposito, who headed it into the net with a fine shot. The opening minutes offered a fast pace and more chances in front of both goals. The visitors could have doubled their lead in the fourth minute. Thuram broke through from the left and after a chaotic attempt to clear Gossens, the ball went to Esposito, whose header was saved by De Gea.

Fiorentina could have equalized in the sixth minute. Moise Kean made a big mistake after receiving the ball from Gossens in front of goal. The only good news for the striker was that an offside call had been made. Seconds later, Barella sent the ball into the net, but the goal was disallowed due to offside. Christian Chivu's team acted aggressively and had the advantage, but the home team's attacks also carried danger. Sommer dealt with a shot by Keane.

Inter easily cut through the "violet" defense. In one situation, Barella was brought behind the defense, but De Gea came out very wisely and got ahead of him. In the next similar situation, Esposito found himself alone against the goalkeeper after a wonderful pass from Dumfries. He shot diagonally, but missed the goal. The home team responded with a cross from Dodo, in which Gudmundsson was uncovered, but he was unable to play with his head, the ball hit him on the shoulder and went past the post.

Inter had serious problems with the opponent's attacks on the right flank. In one of them, Gudmundsson sent the ball into the penalty area to Keane, but Bisek and Thuram managed to cope. In the next defense of the "nerazzurri" missed Gudmundsson's pass, but Keane made a huge mistake when he failed to direct the ball into the net. The home team's top scorer managed to score in the 39th minute, but the goal was disallowed due to offside. Shortly before the break, Ranieri missed the ball after another cross into the visitors' penalty area.

At the start of the second half, Acerbi appeared on the field in place of Carlos Augusto. After the break, the Kivu team had more control, acting a little more cautiously. This led to fewer dangerous situations in front of Sommer's goal, although he had to intervene at one point, but then there were also doubts about offside. In the second half, the game was more fragmented and the fouls became more frequent. The visitors' goalkeeper also saved a shot by Cher Ndour. A little later, a shot by Fagioli went wide.

Fiorentina began to increase the pressure and put pressure on the opponent's defense. In the 77th minute, the equalizer was reached. Barella lost the ball in front of his penalty area, Gudmundsson shot, Sommer cleared, but Ndur was in the right place for the addition and sent the ball into the net. The hosts continued to have the advantage and reached a new dangerous situation, but Gudmundsson shot very inaccurately. Substitute Jack Harrison shot wide of the goal after an excellent counterattack.

Inter tried to get the three points at the end and came very close to doing so. Esposito fired a shot from a difficult position, but a brilliant save by De Gea preserved the score and secured the point for the "violets".
