CSKA also honored the memory of Borislav Mihaylov, who passed away this morning.
The legendary goalkeeper of Bulgaria and Levski had been in serious condition since the end of last year after suffering a stroke and unfortunately was unable to recover.
Here's what the "army" wrote:
"Today, at the age of 63, the legend of Bulgarian football Borislav Mihaylov left us.
Mihaylov will go down in history as the captain of the Golden Generation of the Bulgarian national team. He kept the goal for the "tricolors" in a total of 102 matches, including at the 1994 World Cup in the USA, where Bulgaria achieved a historic fourth place. Participant of the 86 World Cup in Mexico, the 98 World Cup in France, and the 96 Euro in England.
Borislav Mihaylov is a three-time champion and three-time winner of the Bulgarian Cup with Levski, as well as Bulgaria's No. 1 Footballer for 1986.
After the end of his active career, he became a member of the Executive Committee of the Bulgarian Football Union, and subsequently vice president. Between 2005 and 2019 and between 2021 and 2023, he was president of the Bulgarian Football Union. He has two terms as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee.
