He took ninth place in the semi-finals with a time of 2.09.93 and will be first reserve for the final.
Only four hundredths of a second did not reach the Bulgarian for eighth place, which is occupied by Joshua Young, who finished in the first semi-final with a time of 2:09.89.
In the series earlier today, the 25-year-old from Tarnov finished with the 13th time.
