Roy Keane slams Hoylund: The team has no striker

He's like a kid who just came out of the academy, says former captain

Manchester United, who on Friday recorded an eighth consecutive match without a win in the Premier League, having suffered six defeats in that period, still cannot find themselves. The 0-1 defeat by Chelsea was poor preparation for the Europa League final, scheduled for next Wednesday. After the defeat by the "Blues" Roy Keane did not spare his criticism of striker Rasmus Hoylund.

„The team has no striker. In that match Hoylund looked like a kid who just came out of the academy. If you are a Manchester United striker, you have to prove yourself. But the way he runs, the timing, the way he plays with his back to goal... nothing works," the former Red Devils captain began.

Keane, who is a commentator for "Sky Sports", believes that the lack of quality players around the Danish striker does not help, but claims that this cannot justify everything.

"That cannot be an excuse. Of course, we have to talk about the lack of confidence, but from time to time you have to show something. The big clubs have strikers who can do it on their own, and Manchester United have always had them. Even without anyone to serve them. Because they had the quality, the determination, the football intelligence. We don't see any of that in Hoylund," said Keane.
