CSKA announced that it is terminating the contract of goalkeeper Ivan Dyulgerov and as of yesterday he is no longer a player of the club, writes Topsport.
This happened after a 3-hour meeting between Dyulgerov and the management, which took place after the first training session of the team under the leadership of Dusan Kerkez.
The Serb himself refused to comment on the topic, only hinting that Dyulgerov trains separately from the main group. The CSKA website announced in just one sentence that Dyulgerov is no longer part of the "red". According to insiders, the two sides have agreed to part ways by mutual consent, without any financial claims from the goalkeeper.
Ivan Dyulgerov was revealed in leaked chats on social media that he had leaked the tactics of the "Reds" to a man from the Black Sea before the semi-final of the Bulgarian Cup between the two teams. According to the published chat, Dyulgerov was in the company of the source of the chat, Plamen Iliev, Vasil Panayotov and Ismail Isa - all former Levski players and after "drinking five beers", revealed each of the "Reds" players where they take penalties.
The chat also makes it clear that Dyulgerov was not a huge fan of the former coaching staff in the person of Alexander Tomas and his assistant Todor Kyuchukov. CSKA still eliminated the "Sailors" and reached the final, but there they disappointed their fans and lost to Ludogorets in front of a completely packed red supporters' national stadium "Vasil Levski".
CSKA will certainly save nearly a million leva from Dyulgerov's wages. The goalkeeper's contract was due to expire in two years, during which he would have received exactly 840,000 leva, writes "Mach Telegraf".
