Serbian Ognen Ilic from the Borac Cacak team was the fastest and won the prologue in the 72nd edition of the cycling Tour of Bulgaria, BTA reports. Ilic covered the 3.5-kilometer distance in Primorsko in 4:21 minutes and put on the yellow jersey. Felix Gross (Germany) finished three hundredths of a second, and Nikiforos Arvanitou (Greece) finished third with the same time.
Among the Bulgarians with the highest ranking is Martin Papanov - 27th.
Over 120 competitors from 20 countries and three continents will compete on a diverse and picturesque route passing through sea, mountains and plains in this year's edition of the race. Today's stage is from Primorsko to Burgas - 122.5 km.
