Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that the dialogue between Moscow and Washington continues on different lines, despite attempts at sabotage, BTA reports.
“We are in full contact with the Americans, the dialogue continues on different channels. It is necessary that the powerful impulse that followed the leaders' meeting in Anchorage be transformed into real agreements“, Ryabkov said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
He stressed that more than a month after the meeting, “opponents of peace and supporters of the war to the last Ukrainian“ have been trying to obstruct the agreements reached. According to him, the economic bloc remains a priority, with the Russian President's special representative Kirill Dmitriev actively working on the topic in various formats, "related to work at the highest level".
US President Donald Trump is insisting that his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. However, Putin has set a condition that the talks be held in Moscow - something that Zelensky has categorically rejected.
In recent days, Trump has told journalists that he will probably have to personally participate in a trilateral meeting with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine.
