US President Donald Trump revealed to reporters details of his latest visit to "Walter Reed" hospital. This is reported by CNN, citing statements by the American leader aboard Air Force One.
Trump told reporters that he had an MRI scan during a recent visit to "Walter Reed" hospital.
This is the first time the US president has provided detailed information about the tests during his second medical check-up this year, raising new questions about his health.
"I did it. I had an MRI. "It was perfect," Trump said.
He said he had "a full scan" and added that "everything was perfect."
The 79-year-old Trump, who is one of the oldest presidents in U.S. history, earlier this month declined to say why he had the MRI, telling reporters to "ask the doctors."
The president said his doctors gave reporters a "very strong" report on the scan, but the White House has not yet revealed the reason for his unusual second visit, which is a departure from the president's traditional annual physical, CNN reported.
"I think they gave you very strong results - nobody has ever given you reports like I have." And if I didn't think everything was going to be okay, I would have told you, I wouldn't have run away. I would have done something. But the doctor said it was one of the best results for that age, one of the best results they've ever seen," Trump confidently commented on his results.
Trump underwent a “routine annual checkup“ at the “Walter Reed“ Medical Center on October 10, six months after his extensive medical examination.
In July, doctors examined the 79-year-old US president after he complained of intermittent swelling in his legs, diagnosing him with chronic venous insufficiency, typical of people his age.
White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella at the time attributed the bruises on the president's right hand to a combination of “frequent handshakes” and aspirin use, which can increase bruising.
