French police continue investigation, 88 million euros worth of stolen jewelry still missing

French authorities have arrested a third suspect in the Louvre heist. The news was reported by Reuters, citing BFM television, BTA reports.

The man was arrested on October 29 in Paris, and according to the investigation, he was present at the crime scene during the theft.

The incident occurred on October 19, when four thieves broke into the museum's "Apollo" gallery and stole jewelry worth 88 million euros. The daring robbery was carried out in broad daylight, causing a serious public outcry.

The case revealed significant security gaps at the world's most visited museum.

Two more suspects were previously arrested in connection with the theft, but despite the arrests, the stolen jewelry has not yet been recovered.
