Ukraine is in talks to purchase "Tomahawk" missiles and other weapons, said Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Olga Stefanyshyna, BNR reported.
Her statement comes against the backdrop of the fact that US President Donald Trump has so far refused to present the missiles to Kiev.
In an interview with "Bloomberg" TV, Stefanyshyna indicated that discussions are still ongoing, but the Ukrainian side has numerous delegations working to secure the necessary financial resources to acquire more military capacity from the Americans.
According to her, it is not only about "Tomahawk", but also about various other missiles with long and short ranges. The ambassador described the process as quite positive.
Earlier, the Pentagon announced that it had given the "green light" to provide "Tomahawk" missiles to Ukraine.
However, the final decision on this remains in the hands of Donald Trump, who said that he is not considering such a step at the moment.
The partners are preparing new aid packages in support of Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this evening, quoted by Ukrinform and BTA.
"We are preparing agreements with European partners on our new capabilities in the field of defense and active operations. In the coming weeks - in November, we will finalize them. There will be new aid packages to support Ukraine," Zelensky said in his evening video address.
The Ukrainian president added that an agreement on Ukraine's military capabilities is also being prepared.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine received 73.7 million euros as part of the EU grant for the construction of the Sknilov-Mostyska railway.
