An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 on the Richter scale has been registered in Alaska, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

According to the service's map, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the southern part of the Canadian territory of Yukon.

The epicenter is 90 kilometers north of Yakutat, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
