Nighttime missile attack on Kiev

Several residential buildings, an educational institution and a commercial facility were damaged.

The Ukrainian capital Kiev was subjected to a missile attack in the early hours of today, it was reported today on "Telegram" the head of the Kiev city military administration, Timur Tkachenko, quoted by Reuters.

Tkachenko said damage was caused to several residential buildings, an educational institution and a commercial building.

Witnesses told Reuters that loud explosions could be heard in the city and that Kiev was under attack with missiles and drones.

Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko ordered emergency teams to head to the parts of the city affected by the attack.

The mayor of Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest city, Igor Terekhov, said his city was also under attack by Russia with missiles and drones.
