Kazakhstan considers Pakistan a reliable ally and strategic partner

This was stated by President Tokayev in an interview with the Pakistani newspaper The News International

In a conversation with journalist Azzaz Syed, President Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan views Pakistan as a reliable ally and a strategic partner with considerable standing on the global stage. More than 60 intergovernmental and commercial agreements have been signed, and new projects in various fields have been identified. The two countries are bound by close partnership ties, the President of Kazakhstan подчеркнул.

During the interview, the journalist from the Pakistani newspaper The News International also addressed global issues, asking about
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s position on the policies of Donald Trump.

Kazakhstan maintains excellent relations with Israel, while at the same time consistently supporting the Palestinian people and advocating a two-state solution.

Board of Peace

The Board of Peace is a timely and relevant initiative designed to deliver swift and effective results. President Trump himself emphasised during the signing ceremony that the Board of Peace is intended to complement, not replace, the efforts of the United Nations. Kazakhstan is confident that the Board of Peace will make a meaningful contribution to strengthening global peace and stability.

Gaza and Prospects for Sustainable Peace

The plan appeared to be well-structured, ambitious, yet realistic. Without genuine political will to move forward towards a two-state solution, no plan can be truly sustainable.

Russia-Ukraine

Kazakhstan has consistently advocated for an exclusively political and diplomatic resolution to the conflict. Without seeking any mediating role, Kazakhstan is willing to a neutral platform for negotiations.

Greenland

There are many comparable cases in international practice in which countries enter into long-term lease arrangements for specific territories or strategic infrastructure, often for shared, mutually beneficial objectives. Any decision of this nature must be considered strictly within the framework of international law, including respect for state sovereignty and the principles enshrined in the UN Charter. In this context Tokayev suggested that the United States and Denmark could consider a long-term leasing arrangement – for example for 120 years as a pragmatic alternative. Through dialogue and adherence to international law, Tokayev expresses confidence that the parties can find a pragmatic agreement.

Constitutional Reforms in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan has moved away from a super-presidential system toward a presidential republic with consolidated checks and balances. Kazakhstan is entering a new phase of political modernization. Major changes include the establishment of a single-chamber parliament, the National Council and the introduction of the position of vice president. Human rights and freedoms are proclaimed as the nation’s highest priority.

Kazakhstan seeks to build a just, safe, clean, and progressive Kazakhstan, where the principles of law and order prevail and social harmony is preserved. Kazakhstan’s chosen development path is a diversified, technology-driven economy focused on improving the quality of life for our people. Kazakhstan has recorded strong economic growth, with GDP exceeding $300 billion and per capita income reaching $ 15 000.
