Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has refused to put a price on Greenland at the 62nd Munich Security Conference. During a discussion, Frederiksen was asked if she could put a value on the island.

“Of course not. Can you put a value on a part of Spain, or a part of the United States, or any other part of the world?“, the prime minister replied.

Frederiksen also noted that Denmark adheres to fundamental democratic values and principles.

“The Kingdom of Denmark is, of course, a sovereign state and we must respect the right of the people to self-determination. And the Greenlandic people have made it clear they don't want to become Americans. "He wants to remain the Greenlandic people," the prime minister said.
Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark, but US President Donald Trump has repeatedly said the island should become part of the US. Danish and Greenlandic authorities have warned the US not to seize the island, saying they expect their territorial integrity to be respected.
