The creation of joint Russian-Kazakh schools is being discussed in the cities of Kyzylorda, Taraz and Turkestan in the republic. This was announced by the Russian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Alexei Borodavkin in an interview with TASS.

„I hope that the successful experience of Sirius will serve as a guiding light for the implementation of other educational initiatives, primarily the agreement between our presidents to build joint schools in the cities of Kazakhstan and Russia. As for Kazakhstan, this concerns the cities of Kyzylorda, Taraz and Turkestan,“ he said.

The diplomat hopes that the joint schools “with in-depth study of the Russian language, mathematics and natural sciences will become a means of innovative programs and a kind of “quality mark“ for modern school education in Kazakhstan“. According to him, graduates of these schools could enroll in branches of Russian universities in the republic.

During the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Russia in 2025, the Ministries of Education of the two countries signed a memorandum of intent on the creation of joint educational institutions in both countries.
