The UAE's air defense forces have registered the launch of 186 ballistic missiles and 8 cruise missiles, as well as 812 drones, against the country since the start of Iran's air strikes, said Brigadier General Abdel Nasser Mohammed Al-Humaydi, spokesman for the UAE Ministry of Defense.

“Since the start of the Iranian aggression, the UAE's air defense systems have registered the launch of 186 ballistic missiles against the country, of which 172 were destroyed, 13 fell into the sea, and one missile fell into the country“, the ministry quoted him as saying in a statement. Al-Humaydi added that the military detected and destroyed eight cruise missiles. According to a Defense Ministry spokesman, 812 Iranian drones were also detected, 755 of which were intercepted, and 57 crashed in the UAE.

He specified that the Iranian strikes killed three people and slightly wounded 68 others. Light and moderate material damage was also recorded to a number of civilian objects. Al-Humaydi stressed that most of the damage and injuries were caused by falling debris after interception, rather than direct hits on targets.

The United Arab Emirates has a strategic reserve of ammunition sufficient to repel Iranian attacks for an extended period, according to the spokesman for the UAE Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Abdel Nasser Mohammed Al-Humaydi.

“The UAE possesses sufficient reserves of strategic ammunition to ensure the sustainability of interception and countermeasure operations against all types of air threats for extended periods,“ he was quoted as saying in a statement issued by the ministry regarding Iran's strikes on UAE territory.

“We possess defensive capabilities and weapons systems, including domestically produced ones, that allow us to defend our territory and its people, regardless of the time frame and duration of the escalation in the region“, Al-Humaydi stressed.
