US Attorney General Pam Bondi has moved to a military base near Washington due to increased threats against her, The New York Times reports.

According to the newspaper, Bondi moved out of her apartment in the US capital last month after facing an increase in threats reported to her by law enforcement agencies.

The newspaper reports that the Justice Department has received threats from members of drug cartels and from those dissatisfied with the way the US administration is handling the case against financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of child prostitution.

It is noted that the sharp increase in threats occurred after the United States captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in January.

Bondi, as The publication notes that he joins the list of US administration officials who have begun moving to military bases for security reasons.

Last fall, The Atlantic reported that Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll were staying on US military bases.
