A child was killed and several of his relatives were injured after debris from a downed drone fell in southwestern Iran, the deputy governor of Khuzestan province said.

French President Emmanuel Macron believes that the ceasefire agreement reached between the United States and Iran should also include Lebanon.

He made the statement in X after telephone conversations with Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian and US President Donald Trump.

„I expressed the hope that the ceasefire will be fully respected by all parties to the conflict in all theaters of conflict, including Lebanon. This is a prerequisite for the ceasefire to be credible and lasting,“ Macron said.

He is convinced that the agreement reached “is the best possible solution and should pave the way for comprehensive negotiations that will guarantee security in the Middle East“.

The president noted that he had also discussed this issue with the leaders of Qatar, the UAE, Lebanon and Iraq.

Australia calls for the ceasefire agreement reached between the US and Iran to be extended to Lebanon.

“The ceasefire must extend to Lebanon and both Israel and Hezbollah must adhere to it. The ongoing conflict in Lebanon is threatening the already fragile ceasefire and the world needs to respect it, Foreign Minister Penny Wong told reporters.

She also stressed that Australia was not a "party to the Middle East peace talks" but that it was important to Canberra that "the ceasefire be maintained and the Strait of Hormuz remain open". "That will allow Australia and the world to expect lower fuel prices in the coming weeks and months," she added.

Caroline Leavitt told a briefing in Washington that the possibility of extending the ceasefire brokered by the US and Iran to Lebanon was being discussed.
