Russia will redirect oil supplies from Kazakhstan, previously destined for Germany via the "Druzhba" oil pipeline, to other routes starting May 1, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Wednesday, quoted by "Reuters".

Novak said the logistical change was due to "technical capabilities" and was agreed with Kazakhstan.

"The Germans have given up Russian oil, so they are doing well," Novak said of Europe's decision to reduce imports of Russian energy resources.

Reuters reported on Tuesday that Russia will stop exporting oil from Kazakhstan to Germany via the "Druzhba" pipeline, effective May 1.

Kazakhstan's energy minister said on Wednesday that there were no plans to deliver Kazakh oil via the Russian "Druzhba" pipeline to Germany in May, and that the disruption was likely caused by Ukrainian drone strikes.
