US President Joe Biden will deliver a speech on rising anti-Semitism on May 7, the spokeswoman for White House Karin Jean-Pierre, quoted by Reuters and BTA.
The speech is scheduled to be held at the Holocaust Memorial Museum in the US capital Washington, the agency specifies.
In the words of Jean-Pierre Biden, he will speak about the "rising scourge of anti-Semitism" in his speech. Reuters draws attention to the fact that the appearance of the American president comes at a time when the country is flooded with student protests against the government's support for Israel in the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
The White House also announced that Biden is informed daily about the events during the protests in the complexes of American universities.
Karin Jean-Pierre also said that there is currently no response from the radical Palestinian group "Hamas" of the latest proposed terms of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and the release of the Israeli hostages.
