Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of Iran-backed armed groups, yesterday carried out multiple attacks on Israel with cruise missiles, said a source from the group, quoted by Reuters and BTA.

The source told the agency that the attacks were carried out with multiple cruise missiles of the "Arcube" and for the first time they were directed against the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.

The Islamic resistance in Iraq has claimed responsibility in the past for dozens of missile and drone attacks against US troops in Iraq and Syria, as well as against targets in Israel since the outbreak of the Gaza war, according to Reuters.

Israel avoids publicly commenting on attacks it claims are Iraqi armed groups.
