Porn actress Stormy Daniels said why she accepted money from Trump

She testified in the case against the former president

Porn actress Stormy Daniels testified for about seven and a half hours over two days in the case of " ;money for silence" against former US President Donald Trump, the Associated Press reported, quoted by BTA.

She was asked by Trump's lawyers why she accepted $130,000 to keep quiet about her alleged sexual contact with him in 2006 rather than go public, the AP said.

"Why didn't you do that?" asked Susan Neschels, Trump's lawyer, questioning why Daniels did not hold a press conference as she had planned to tell reporters about her meeting with Trump in 2006. which he denies happened.

"Because there was no time to tell my story," Daniels replied. The negotiations took place in the final weeks of the 2016 presidential campaign, a key moment in the case against Trump. Prosecutors say he and his associates seized on those potentially damaging stories and tried to influence the outcome of the November election. Trump denies any wrongdoing.

Daniels gave his new testimony yesterday, avoiding eye contact with the former US president. Trump's lawyers tried to portray the porn actress as someone who lies and blackmails, trying to ruin the defendant's image after she made money and fame from her story about him.

Daniels was called as a witness for the first time on Tuesday and described in great detail what she says happened in 2006 when she met with Trump. The AP reports that the former president, who is now a White House candidate, frowned and shook his head during most of what Daniels said about their alleged sex encounter. This was after the two met at a celebrity golf outing at Lake Tahoe, also sponsored by the adult film studio where she worked.

Earlier this week, Stormi testified that while she was not physically threatened, she felt a "power imbalance" when Trump stood between her and the door in her hotel room and offered her a deal.

As for whether she felt coerced into having sex with him, she reiterated today that he neither drugged her nor physically threatened her. "My own insecurities at that point prevented me from saying 'No,'" she said. As Neschels continued to compare what Daniels said under oath to her previous testimony, the witness insisted that her story had not changed.
