New US aid to Kiev is already on the front lines

The commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and the secretary of defense discussed the battlefield situation with senior representatives of Washington

The new multi-billion-dollar US military aid approved by Congress on The United States last month is already on the battlefield in Ukraine, said White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

The US Congress has authorized $60.8 billion in various forms of aid to Ukraine after approving a $95 billion foreign aid package that includes military support for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

The White House has made a commitment that the weapons will be quickly delivered to Ukraine.

The commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, discussed military aid and the situation on the front line with high-ranking representatives of the USA, wrote in "Telegram" Sirski, quoted by Reuters and BTA.

According to him, they spoke with White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Charles Brown.

"We talked about the situation at the front, as well as the help that Ukraine needs on the battlefield," Sirsky wrote.
