Hundreds of Greek students organized a night vigil in a tent camp in support of the Palestinians to end the war in Gaza, BNR reported.
Previously, a protest was held outside the Israeli embassy, with students chanting against military action in Gaza. The protesting students greeted the leader of the Communist Party with applause, as well as the deputies.
The vigil will continue until the morning. The entire tented camp is decorated with Palestinian flags.
In Thessaloniki there were dozens of tents in front of the White Tower in the center of the city. The students protested and chanted for an immediate end to the war in Gaza. The organizers of the protest told the media that it is unacceptable for a person to calmly observe the thousands of victims of children and women, bombed hospitals and homes.
In Thessaloniki, the protest was joined by the Women's Union, various labor unions and Palestinians who live in Greece.
