At least 14 people were killed and three were injured in a fire that broke out early this morning in a densely populated area of the Vietnamese capital Hanoi, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA, referring to the local police.
Firefighters managed to save seven people from the fire that engulfed a 5-story residential building on a narrow street in the city, the Ministry of Public Security announced.
The ministry said it is investigating the cause of the fire, whose victims have not yet been identified.
In September of last year, a fire in a residential block in Hanoi killed at least 56 people, including children, and injured 37 people, Reuters recalls.
