Billionaire Elon Musk said that artificial intelligence will take all our jobs, and it does not necessarily bad thing, CNN reported, NOVA reported.

„None of us will probably have a job in the future,”, the entrepreneur said at a technology conference in Paris. Speaking remotely via webcam at VivaTech 2024, Musk described a future where jobs will be “optional”.

„If you want to do work that is kind of a hobby, you will be able to. But anyway, AI and robots will provide all the goods and services you want,”, he predicted.

For this scenario to work, there would need to be a “universal high income”. He did not explain exactly what it would be, but analysts suggest it is a certain amount of money that the US government gives to everyone, regardless of how much they earn.

„There will be no shortage of goods or services”, assured Musk.

The capabilities of artificial intelligence have grown in the past few years fast enough that regulators, companies and consumers are still wary of using the technology. In addition, concerns continue to grow about how various industries will change as AI continues to spread.

Musk said that he does not support the recent statement of US President Joe Biden on the introduction of tariffs on imported electric cars made in China, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

During the Viva Technology conference, Musk stated: "Tesla competes quite well in the China market without tariffs and without other support... I am for no tariffs and no incentives for electric cars, nor for oil and gas.'' ;.

While responding during a question-and-answer session at the conference, Musk stated: "Neither Tesla nor I asked for these tariffs. I was actually surprised when they were announced."

Earlier this month, the Biden administration announced tariffs on Chinese electric cars, as well as electric car batteries and other parts, in an effort to stop the flooding of the domestic market with cheap Chinese electric cars.
