Ukrainian troops are unable to reflect attacks with controlled aerial bombs due to lack of air defense systems and this is a problem. This was stated on Monday by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in Madrid, broadcast by the TV channel Rada.
„The most important problem today is that Russia uses more than 3,000 guided aerial bombs per month,” he said. “Next month there could be 3,500. We do not have enough missiles and air defense systems to repel these attacks.“
At the same time, he was again outraged that Kiev was not provided with additional air defense systems and missiles for them.
Ukrainian authorities regularly call on the West to transfer air defense systems and missiles to Kiev, particularly insisting on the Patriot complexes. Previously, Kiev wanted to get five to seven more installations, but in early April Zelensky said that “Ukraine would like to have 25 Patriot systems”.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, for his part, said he was banging his head against the wall in the hope that Kiev would get Patriot.
