A Spanish company that modernized Leopard tanks; for delivery in Ukraine, suffered a cyberattack that crashed its website. This is reported by "Reuters", citing a pro-Russian hacking group. It is about Spain-based Santa Barbara Systems, which is a division of General Dynamics.
A spokesman for General Dynamics in Germany said the defense contractor was still analyzing the cause of the website crash and said all of the company's operations in Europe were operating normally.
In "Telegram" hacker group NoName claimed responsibility for the DDoS attack.
This type of cyber attack directs large volumes of internet traffic to target servers to take them out of the network.
"We sent our DDoS missiles against websites in Russophobic Spain", wrote in "Telegram" the group that often carries out similar actions against countries that support Ukraine.
Last month, NATO said Russia was behind an intensifying campaign of hybrid attacks against companies and infrastructure in member countries, a charge Moscow dismissed as "disinformation".
According to the Ministry of Defense of Spain, Santa Barbara Systems assembles heavy vehicles such as tanks "Leopard" and artillery equipment for the Spanish army and participated in the modernization of the Spanish tanks "Leopard" for delivery to the Ukrainian army.
