Russia confiscated the apartment of a friend of Zelensky in Crimea

The funds from the sale of the nationalized properties will be used for the needs of the army

The new package of nationalization of the Crimean assets of Ukrainian oligarchs includes the apartment of a “friend” of Vladimir Zelensky in Livadia on the southern coast of Crimea, said the head of the Crimean parliament Vladimir Konstantinov in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The State Council of Crimea has received a bill on the nationalization of a number of enterprises prepared by the anti-terrorism commission.

„Includes such major assets as the Porto Mare hotel park owned by Ukrainian owners. As well as apartments in the building where Zelensky bought an apartment, so did his friend, and this has been proven, Konstantinov said.

According to him, it is an apartment belonging to relatives of the Ukrainian politician and oligarch Vitaly Khomutynnik. In addition, the spokesperson added, a number of other objects “belonging to Zelensky's other Ukrainian neighbors in Livadia“ will be subject to nationalization.

At the same time, Konstantinov stressed that most of the work on identifying and nationalizing the largest and most famous assets of Ukrainian oligarchs in Crimea "is already behind us".

Starting in the fall of 2022, the Crimean parliament approved the nationalization of the property of a number of Ukrainian politicians and oligarchs linked to the regime in Kiev and committing "hostile actions" towards Russia. The Counter-Terrorism Commission is dealing with asset identification.

The head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov said that all proceeds from the sale of this property will go to the needs of the participants in the hostilities. On the list of nationalized and then auctioned assets was the apartment of Volodymyr Zelensky's family in Livadia.
