Unknown gunmen in Derbent and Makhachkala in the Russian republic of Dagestan attacked two Orthodox churches, a synagogue and a traffic police post, killing civilians and police officers. Two fighters were killed, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.
Gunmen have killed a priest and a security guard at two churches in the Russian republic of Dagestan. This was announced by the chairman of the Commission for Public Supervision of Dagestan, Shamil Khadulaev, on his Telegram channel, TASS reported.
The local authorities announced that "two fighters" were killed. and that the city of Makhachkala, where one of the attacks took place, has been cordoned off by law enforcement.
The Investigative Committee has started criminal proceedings for a terrorist act in connection with the attacks in Makhachkala and Derbent.
