Typhoon fighter of the US-led coalition and a Russian An-30 jet came unnervingly close to each other in the sky above Al-Tanf Region in Syria's Homs province. This incident, reports News.bg, highlights the ongoing complexities and dangers in the region.

Details were shared with TASS by the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Major General Yuri Popov. According to Popov, the approach took place on July 3 between 09:44 and 09:51 Moscow time.

The clash was not the only incident reported in the Al-Tanf area that day. Major General Popov noted that there were 12 other violations involving F-15 fighter jets, Typhoon fighter jets and A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft.

Russia frequently reports on its operations against jihadists in Syria and points to violations by the Western coalition. These incidents and reports highlight the complex web of interactions and delicate balance of power in Syrian airspace, where international forces and local factions are jostling for control and influence.
