Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris today at Shannon Airport. in Western Ireland, reported PA Media and DPA.
This will be the first bilateral meeting between Zelensky and Harris on Irish territory. The conversation is expected to focus on the war in Ukraine.
Harris will express his condolences to the Ukrainian citizens who died in the war, including the children killed in the attack on the Ohmatdit Children's Hospital. in Kyiv earlier this week.
Furthermore, the Irish Prime Minister will express his support for Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
The two leaders met on the sidelines of the Ukraine Peace Summit in Switzerland in June, DPA recalls.
Zelensky will make a stop at "Shannon" airport on his way back from the NATO summit in Washington, which marked the 75th anniversary of the Alliance.
