Italy will cooperate well with the next US president, whoever he is, said Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, after Joe Biden announced yesterday that he was withdrawing from this year's presidential election, the Italian news agency ANSA reported, quoted by BTA.
„We must look with complete calmness at the United States - a country that is a great friend of ours. "We will cooperate well with the next president - both with Donald Trump and Kamala Harris," Tajani said.
“Now we are working well with the Biden administration and we worked well with Trump's administration,“ the foreign minister told national broadcaster RAI, commenting on Biden's announced withdrawal from the race.
Biden endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris, as the Democratic Party's nominee.
