The Ukrainian government has invited Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to visit Ukraine, and Beijing said it "is interested" from the proposal, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said today, quoted by Reuters.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba met his Chinese counterpart last week during his first visit to China since the war in Ukraine. The two talked for more than three hours, quoted by BTA.
"We are ready to welcome Minister Wang Yi to Ukraine to see first-hand the consequences of Russian aggression against our country and to conduct in-depth bilateral negotiations with him on a range of regional and international issues," the spokesman said during a briefing .
China claims to be neutral in the war, but also declares a partnership "without borders" with Russia days before Moscow's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, and President Vladimir Putin visited China in May.
