Obviously, in the war in Ukraine observes a new trend: the Russian armed forces are increasingly using the North Korean Bulsae-4 anti-tank system with a long range, reported the "Frankfurter Rundschau", quoted by BTA.
According to a report in the Ukrainian online newspaper "Ukrainska Pravda” Russian troops have started using Bulsae-4 against Ukrainian defensive positions.
According to the media, the system, which is self-propelled and remotely controlled, is capable of hitting targets at a distance of over ten kilometers - even beyond the line of sight.
Bulsae-4 missile launchers are mounted on the chassis of the North Korean M-2010 - a wheeled armored vehicle with a 6×6 configuration. Information on the exact technical characteristics of this weapon is limited, but the system is equipped with eight missile pods mounted in a rotating package, Ukrainian platform Militarnyi reports.
The missiles used have large stabilizers and are designed to attack the top of their armored targets where the armor is thinnest.
Missiles are guided using an electro-optical guidance system combined with an optical guidance system. This allows the user to manually control the rocket in flight via video. As a result, obstacles can be avoided and accurate hits can be made on heavily armored vehicles, Militarnyi explains.
The site also reports that the North Korean weapons system has already been detected by Ukrainian air reconnaissance on one of the sections of the front near Kharkiv. This indicates that the Bulsae-4 system is actively used in military operations, with a range of between 10 and 25 km. This long-range potential allows Russian armed forces to attack Ukrainian tanks from a safe distance.
North Korean arms deliveries to Russia are no longer rare. Back in June, the Bloomberg agency reported that the Asian country, which is largely isolated internationally, had supplied Russia with about 5 million artillery shells.
