DPS - Ahmed Dogan call on Radev to veto the changes against "French unemployment"

Last week the parliament also adopted the changes in the second reading

People's representatives from DPS (without Peevski and group) call on President Rumen Radev to veto changes to the Social Security Code (SSC). The appeal was made during a peaceful protest in which people's representatives Ibrahim Zaidenov and Ahmed Vranchev participated, according to the Facebook page of the DPS Press Center.

"Today we are here - in solidarity with the demands of the protesters, and every time someone dares to trample on their rights, we will stand firmly and unquestioningly behind the Bulgarian citizens. That is why we call on the President of the Republic of Bulgaria to veto this law", Ibraim Zaidenov wrote on social networks, quoted by DPS Press Center.

"We as people's representatives from DPS (without Peevski and group) stood firmly behind the demands of the people and clearly opposed, submitting a proposal between the first and second reading to preserve the previous regime,' the deputy also stated.

The publication reports on a protest organized today by citizens from the Gotsedelchev region, against the recent changes in the Social Security Code.

Last week, the parliament adopted, in the second reading, changes to the procedure for determining unemployment benefits for those insured in Bulgaria and in a European Union (EU) country. From Ahmed Vranchev's speech, it became known that a signature against the changes in question had been filed in the parliament's registry. During the debates, Vranchev insisted on supporting a proposal submitted by them between the first and second reading of the changes in CSR, which preserves the previous regulation for determining the amount of unemployment benefits. The proposal was rejected by the plenary hall.

The DPS Press Center also informs that the protesters from the area are mainly people who go to Western Europe for seasonal work in agriculture. The publication points out that local residents accuse the Bulgarian state of deliberately delaying the procedure for the preparation of documents from the labor exchange for social security due to the termination of the employment contract by the foreign employer. According to the protesters, this delay is deliberate in order to be able to accept the change in the law, according to which the compensation will no longer be paid according to the European, but according to the changed Bulgarian rules, the publication also says.
