The Israeli armed forces announced today that they have found the bodies of six hostages kidnapped by “Hamas” in the attacks on October 7 last year, which led to the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip, the Associated Press reported, quoted by BTA.

The bodies were found during a night military operation in the southern part of the Palestinian territory. The Israeli army identified the hostages as Yagev Buchstab, Alexander Danzig, Avraham Munder, Yoram Metzger, Nadav Popplewell and Chaim Perry.

The message does not specify when and how they died.

The six hostages were found dead as the US, Egypt and Qatar try to broker a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas that would lead to the release of dozens of people held captive by the Palestinian group, notes AP.

It is believed that “Hamas“ still holding about 110 hostages kidnapped on October 7. Israeli authorities estimate that about a third of them are dead.
