Tim Waltz, chosen by Kamala Harris to be her running mate in the presidential elections in the USA in November, officially accepted the nomination of the Democrats, BTA reported.
"It is the greatest honor of my life to accept your nomination for Vice President of the United States," he said at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. His speech was broadcast live on major American news channels. He received a standing ovation from the audience at the Chicago Bulls gym where he delivered his speech.
"We are all here tonight for one wonderful, simple reason - we love this country," Walz said. Delegates held up placards reading "Coach Waltz" in red, white and blue. "Thank you for bringing joy to this battle," he added.
