Two women were hospitalized after a man doused them with gasoline and set them on fire in Detroit, the Associated Press reported. quoted by BTA.
The attack took place yesterday, reports local television. Detroit Fire Chief Dennis Richardson said the women had just arrived at their jobs when the man doused them with gasoline and lit them on fire with a lighter.
Both women were taken to a Detroit hospital with serious injuries. The man was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
Police Chief James White said the man worked at the facility and had recently been suspended or fired, and believed the women were partly responsible. White said he expects to recommend that prosecutors charge the captured man with attempted murder.
