Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is in Damascus, reports that the Syrian leader has left the country are untrue, according to a statement from the Syrian presidential palace office.
"Some foreign media are reporting rumors and fake news that President Bashar al-Assad has left Damascus or his secret visits to one country or another. The President's Office denies all these rumours”, the statement said.
