Russia poses a threat not only to Ukraine, but also to all of European security. This was stated by the President of the European Council Antonio Costa during a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw, News.bg reports.
“Russia is a threat not only in Ukraine, but also to the security of Europe as a whole, especially along the eastern border – in Poland, the Baltic states, Romania and the eastern flank of the EU“, Costa emphasized.
He also announced that the European Commission is preparing a package of proposals to strengthen Europe's defense capabilities, with the emphasis being placed on the eastern flank. The topic will be discussed at a special meeting of the European Council scheduled for March 6.
