Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described as a positive sign that Russia has begun to consider ending the war, but stressed that the first step towards this is a ceasefire from tomorrow, May 12, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"It is a good sign that the Russians have finally begun to consider ending the war. Everyone in the world has been waiting for this for a long time. However, the first step towards a real end to any war is a ceasefire," Zelensky said today on the "Ex" network.
"It is pointless for the killings to continue even for a day. "We expect Russia to confirm the ceasefire - complete, lasting and reliable - from tomorrow, May 12," he wrote in Ukrainian and English in "Ex".
