Russia detained a Greek oil tanker in the Baltic Sea

Information from the Estonian Foreign Ministry

Russia has detained an oil tanker owned by Greece after it left an Estonian port in the Baltic Sea, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA, citing the Estonian Foreign Ministry.

The ship was sailing along a designated navigation route leading from the port of Sillamäe, which crosses Russian territorial waters, the ministry said in a statement.

The tanker is owned by a Greek company and is sailing under the Liberian flag, the ministry added.
