Ukrainian president sends letter to Trump with proposals for cooperation in the defense industry

Volodymyr Zelensky has sent a letter to US President Donald Trump with new proposals for cooperation between the two countries in the defense industry and trade, the press service of his office reported after a meeting with US Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

“The head of state noted that he had sent a letter to President Donald Trump with new proposals for cooperation in the defense industry and trade“, the website of Zelensky's office states, without providing details about the content of the letter.

Zelensky also spoke about the situation on the front and spoke unflatteringly about the proposals of the Russian delegation at the talks in Istanbul, which took place on May 16, calling them “unrealistic“ for Kyiv.
