Sergey Lavrov on official visit to Armenia

Discussion of bilateral cooperation, regional security and peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Armenia today, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced, quoted by ARMENPRESS, BTA reports.

During his visit, Lavrov will hold meetings with Armenian President Vahagan Khachaturyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

The talks will focus on bilateral cooperation, partnership within the Eurasian Integration Unions, as well as coordination of positions at international forums, including within the UN.

“The foreign ministers will exchange views on issues related to regional security, including the prospects for a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey,“ the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
