This is the second night of major attacks on the city, after Ukraine was attacked by about 250 drones and 14 ballistic missiles on Friday evening. Most of them were aimed at the capital.
"More than a dozen enemy drones are already in the airspace around the capital. More are approaching" said Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kiev military administration.
"The enemy will probably use a large number of drones and missiles launched from strategic aircraft," he added, on Telegram.
Debris fell on a five-story apartment building in the Golosovsky district, Tkachenko added.
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported "explosions in the city". "Air defense forces are in action. "The capital is under attack by enemy drones," he warned on Telegram, urging residents to head to bomb shelters.
