They lie, as always - Moscow and Kiev entered into a dispute over the language of the negotiations in Istanbul

Maria Zakharova accused the deputy head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Sergei Kislytsia, of lying

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the deputy head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Sergei Kislytsia, lied when he stated that the Ukrainian delegation spoke in Ukrainian and English at the negotiations in Istanbul.

In her message on the Telegram channel, she quoted the words of a Ukrainian diplomat who stated that “the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations in Turkey spoke in Ukrainian and English, communicating with the Russians through an interpreter“.

“They lie, as always. They read the introductory text in English. And then they switched to Russian. "What a pity," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

The talks between Russia and Ukraine, which took place on May 16 in Istanbul, lasted almost two hours. A large-scale exchange of prisoners of war "1000 for 1000" was agreed upon. Moscow and Kiev agreed to present their vision for a possible future ceasefire.
